THE Associated Pipe organ builders of america
is a professional association of North American firms engaged in building traditional pipe organs.  Members of APOBA are a select group of organbuilders who have passed stringent membership requirements.  These requirements include commitment to principles regarding the use of electronic technology in pipe organ building.  To read about these principles, click here.   
       As friendly competitors, we join together to become acquainted, share technical and managerial information, and address industry-wide issues.  We seek to foster the highest standards of integrity and quality in pipe organ building. Our activities are divided into two categories:

Help people to purchase new pipe organs by providing information and advice.
Help people to renovate existing pipe organs.
Provide publications to assist in raising funds and planning installation.
Promote the pipe organ and organ music in our modern culture through advertising, this web site, exhibits, toll-free phone number, and other publicity.
Services for our members
Gather and distribute statistical data affecting the industry.
Lobby on issues affecting the industry:  tariffs, electrical codes, and environmental regulations, for example.
Study supply and availability of raw materials used in building pipe organs.
Collaborate with allied organizations, including the American Institute of Organbuilders, the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society, to assist in promoting the pipe organ.
