Nathan Laube Recital on the Centennial Organ
St. Joseph Cathedral and the Buffalo Chapter AGO present a recital by internationally renowned American concert organist Nathan Laube to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Andover Organ Company's rebuild (Opus R-328) of the cathedral's historic 1876 E. & G. G. Hook & Hastings organ.
Johannes Zeinler plays Buzard Op. 29
In July 2015, Austrian organist Johannes Zeinler was awarded the First Prize in Organ Interpretation at the St. Albans International Organ Competition – the only Austrian to receive this distinction since the competition and festival was founded in 1963. As the newly-appointed winner of St. Albans competition, Mr. Zeinler will perform at many of Europe’s most important concert venues as well as concert tours in the United States.
Alcee Chriss plays Buzard Op. 29
Alcee Chriss has performed in the United States and Europe and is emerging as an outstanding young concert artist of virtuosity and versatility. He has won top prizes at both national and international competitions. He was a finalist at the Taylor Organ Competition held at All Saints’ last year. Chriss is a graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, and is now pursuing his doctorate at Magill University. This program will be the first in the series of the 2017 Atlanta Summer Organ Festival.
